I met thousands of soldiers, coming and going. But what I found amazing was that I never found one who was afraid. There was no fear. We all. had no fear. You know when you hear about the heroics of the war of independence and even back to the times of the Ottoman empire and the Ottoman army, that’s when it made sense to me. It’s the Turkish soldier. The Turkish soldier is our greatest strength. We have no fear.
